Through the services offered by the Academy—such as access to the library, study rooms, printing services, and laboratories—students can rely on a well-equipped environment that encourages in-depth exploration of the various design disciplines and supports the development of their projects in a conscious, independent, and progressively more mature way.
Teaching is developed primarily through practical applications and exercises, carried out in computer labs and in pattern-making and garment construction classrooms, all equipped with professional tools to support design activities.
For this reason, we provide students with constantly updated professional software for graphic design, video design, interior architecture and furnishing, as well as digital tools dedicated to Fashion Design.
The use of these technologies allows students to work with the same tools adopted in the professional world, fostering the development of solid technical skills that are immediately applicable.
Most lessons are based on laboratory activities, practical applications, workshops, and meetings with industry experts in each field.
Arts and cultural activities
Thanks to a network built over the years, IUAD establishes connections and partnerships aimed at providing education that is always up to date and aligned with the needs of the job market, fostering early opportunities to practically apply acquired skills through numerous contests, workshops, industry talks, and professionalizing webinars.
Tra Arte e Moda is a cross-disciplinary project that, since 2012, has seen IUAD students take on the role of artists, invited to freely interpret a contemporary theme. The selected works stand out for the variety of expressive languages employed, offering a personal and contemporary perspective. They are exhibited in different Italian museums—including the Bagatti Valsecchi House Museum in Milan, the Donnaregina Monumental Complex, and the PAN in Naples—creating a dynamic dialogue between art, fashion, and museum spaces.

In the field of creative communication, IUAD collaborates with ADCI, a key reference point in the advertising world. Students take part in the ADCI Awards, testing their talent and earning important recognition, as well as in the scouting day of Il Grande Venerdì di Enzo, where they connect with creatives from participating agencies.
Salerno Do Design – Museo Diocesano di Salerno
IUAD takes part in this project dedicated to contemporary design and the innovation of spaces, promoted by Confindustria Salerno. An initiative that highlights the role of design in transforming society, the culture of living, and the relationship with new technologies and materials.
Fuorisalone Milano
IUAD students also take part in the Fuorisalone during Milan Design Week, one of the most important international events for contemporary design. It is an opportunity to present projects and installations, engage with industry professionals, and experience one of the most influential events in the global creative scene firsthand.
