Visual Merchandiser

Naples

Department of Interior Design

Brands are increasingly focused on developing consistent visual communication that also involves point-of-sale as part of an omnichannel strategy.

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for interpreting expressive codes, tone of voice, and values to configure spaces. Study and develop the design of the point of sale, which becomes the most direct and representative point of contact with customers for the brand.

Employment outlets

The Visual Merchandiser can work for a single brand, within the company, or as a freelancer. One of the most challenging jobs is the roving Visual Merchandiser, who monitors compliance with company standards at various stores.

The path in single-brand stores often begins as a salesperson, then becomes a fitter and then Visual. The next step is the Visual Merchandising Manager, who coordinates and supervises the in-house team of visual merchandisers.
