The Master’s degree in handbags and leather goods aims to train a professional figure capable of managing the design and development of leather goods collections, with a focus on handbags, from a stylistic as well as a technical and production point of view, providing support in the research and analysis of fashion trends and in all stages of product development: from concept study, material research, stylistic design, to sampling, through pattern definition.

The professional will have high skills in supply chain processes and materials as well as product components, with training supported by the use of innovative digital information technology (2D/3D), applying company procedures to ensure high quality standards.

Employment outlets

The outgoing professional will be highly qualified, with technical skills that will enable him or her to find placement in medium, large and small leather goods companies in style offices, product offices, pattern-making and prototyping departments as well as technical consulting firms. He will also be able to start freelance consulting business being able to both design and technically develop a fashion product and follow its entire supply chain.

IUAD also partners with Platform Sistema Formativo Moda, Graduate Fashion Foundation, Assocalzaturifici and Cec-European Confederation of the Footwear Industry.
