Technological Innovation and Communication

The Ph.D. in Technological Innovation and Communication is for three years, with 3 funded fellowships.

The goal is to train highly skilled researchers and professionals who can meet the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities offered by emerging technologies.

Those interested in excelling in the field of innovation and communication, combining creativity and innovation in an academic context of excellence, can participate in the public selection, based on qualifications and examinations, for admission to the Ph.

Research method

The course is structured in theoretical and practical modules, covering a wide range of topics related to communication and advanced technologies. Students will have the opportunity to participate in lectures, seminars, workshops and laboratories, as well as develop individual research projects under the supervision of experienced tutors.

How to enroll

Within 7 days from the date of the publication of the final merit list, the winners and recipients of a scholarship position must confirm acceptance of the position by sending the application documents via pec to [email protected].

The office will conduct a verification of matriculations and related documentation, proceeding to finalize the matriculation (which from provisional becomes final). If additions are necessary, the Doctoral Office will contact the newly enrolled students in order to complete the matriculation.

Successful but unsuccessful candidates and applicants do not have to matriculate. They will be contacted by the Ph.D. Office if the ranking list is filled.

Before proceeding with the submission of the PhD application, it is necessary to prepare in electronic format (one PDF file for each type) all the documentation required by the Notice, listed below, which must be attached to the pec.

The Doctoral Office will follow up the receipt of the enrollment pec with a pre-registration notification. Matriculation will subsequently be finalized by the offices.

Documentation to be attached to the application:

  1. Copy of passport or ID (showing citizenship and date/place of birth)
  2. Attachment A “Application for Matriculation”
  3. Attachment B “Bank details for crediting installments.”
  4. Attachment C “Self-certification on work activity”
  5. Confidentiality Agreement
  6. Copy of Tax Code

For male and female winners with foreign citizenship:

  1. Residence permit or receipt of application
  2. Diploma Supplement or Attestation of Comparability and Verification issued by ENIC_NARIC Centers in original or true copy (note that the Italian ENIC-NARIC center is CIMEA, which issues attestations through the Diploma service) or, residually, Declaration of Value on site. For degrees issued in a country that is a signatory to the Lisbon Convention (ENIC-NARIC network), the ARDI Certificate of Correspondence is required and can be downloaded independently.

Those enrolled pending graduation and scholarship winners/successors must irrevocably notify by Nov. 30, 2024 (or by the date indicated on the notice of selection) of their graduation by sending to [email protected]:

  • diploma or certificate of bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree) in original or certified copy – winners/winners with foreign title

Winners and awardees of positions with scholarships are required to register for INPS separate management as of the date of the start of the Doctoral Program. For more details on the procedure, see the INPS Enrollment Instructions.

Non-EU citizens

To enter Italy as a doctoral student or doctoral student, you must apply for a student visa. For information on the visa to enter Italy, visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs page .
Write to the Doctoral Office ([email protected]) to request a letter of invitation and register on the Universitaly to submit your visa application (if passage is required by the consulate where you are applying). Once you have submitted your online application, write to [email protected] to notify that you have made the application through Universitaly.
You may also ask the Doctoral Office to prepare a letter certifying your doctoral matriculation to submit to the Police Headquarters.

It should be noted that under the restrictive measures and sanction regime adopted by the Council of the European Union, banks can unilaterally decide to block the payment of the scholarship or research grant to doctoral and post-doctoral students who do not have a regular residence permit, residence in an Italian municipality and an Italian identity card.
