PROFESSIONAL FIGURE
This course offers the theory and practical experience needed to train highly professional figures working in the field of interior design with the aid of the latest graphics and 3D designing techniques. A wise and informed use of the main CAD programs (Computer Aided Design) is the aim of this course. This is complemented by the acquisition of functional skills, such as the automatic generation of perspectives and cross sections, 3D animation and rendering, as well as the printing and importing/exporting of drawings between the different graphics programs.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
The INTERIOR DESIGNER CAD OPERATOR can work in the vast design field for furniture, furnishings and associated sectors. Work can be found with interior design studios, architects, and furniture and furnishing outlets; there are also opportunities for free lance work.
General content
The course is structured in such a way as to provide students with the fundamentals of computer graphics and to introduce them to Autocad tools. the practical exercises and demonstrations ensure that students have assimilated the theoretical concepts.
Basic computer skills
The evolution of computer technology has made it possible for powerful graphics programs to be used on an ordinary personal computer. It is therefore essential that students understand certain basic concepts. This module helps students to acquire the fundamentals of PC operation, the main features of its component hardware and the management of files and folders.
2D Autocad
The 2D Autocad program is the most widely used CAD tool in the creation, management and printing of 2D design files. It allows the interior decorator or designer to achieve highly professional results quickly. During this module the student learns how to use the drawing tools from the design phase up to the plotting and printing phase.
£D Autocad
Interior deign often requires objects and areas to be designed in such a way as to check their measurements and appearance in three dimensions. In practice the 3D techniques such as the automatic generation of perspectives, the creation of plans and cross sections, 3D animation and rendering, make it possible to measure the volume of the designed areas, to identify the smallest details of the drawing and to modify it in order to try out new solutions. The 3D Autocad module completes the skills introduced in the 2D module and takes the student to the model rendering phase.
